Overland are a registered Hazardous Waste Removal Company and Specialise in the removal of deregulated types of Asbestos such as Naids, Chrysotile & Amosite.
The service we offer covers everything that a Client needs for the safe removal of the material.
An initial site visit is carried out by our assessor to ascertain if the building does contain asbestos. If the assessor believes asbestos is present a small sample section is removed for analysis.
This sample is sent for analysis to determine whether or not it contains asbestos fibres by the method of polarised light microscopy and centre stop dispersion staining based on HSE’s HSG248.
A unique Certificate for Identification of Asbestos Fibres is issued detailing the findings of the analytical test.
The report is passed on to our decontamination team supervisor who prepares the required Method Statements, Risk Assessment and work programme to ensure that the correct method of removal is used, and the risks involved have been reduce to a safe level.
Prior to removal a toolbox talk is then held with the decontamination team to ensure they understand and follow the agreed method of works for the removal of the material.
The asbestos material is then removed from site and taken to a registered Environment Agency Licensed Waste Transfer Station for safe disposal.
On completion of the works a copy of all the relevant paperwork is prepared and passed to the client for their safety file.
