Tree cutting
Overland offers a full range of Tree Surgery Services to the Utility and Public Sectors and have a Specialist Teams of Tree Surgeons dedicated to carrying out the removal of trees from over and around Live Overhead power lines up to 132KV.
At present Overland have numerous teams of specialist tree surgeons carrying out work for Scottish & Southern Energy on their High Voltage and Low Voltage Networks across the South East of England and occasionally being called up to Scotland to assist after storms.
In addition to this the highly trained staff carry out tree cutting operations in and around live sub-station compounds, thus making them one of the very few companies in the UK qualified, trained, insured and authorised to do so.
Overland’s Tree Cutting Manager is issued with a series of Maps detailing the location of the work to be carried out.
A survey of the area is undertaken and contact is made with Local Authorities, Crown Estates, Forestry Commission Rangers and Private Landowners to discuss the proposed works to be carried out, and permission is then requested to carry out these works.
On agreement from the Landowner, a consent form is issued detailing the works to be carried out and a duplicate copy is passed on to the tree cutting Team Leader to complete the agreed works as specified.
